Danniella Westbrook has celebrated freedom from "solitude and isolation" with a jaw dropping selfie.The 48-year-old soap star looked amazing - and glamorous as ever - as she took to Instagram showing off her latest hair transformation.Pouting for the camera, the former EastEnders actress dazzled as she thanked her hairdresser for recreating fresh honey blonde highlights, with a sleek bob-cut.The TV star opted for contoured cheeks, a pop of lip gloss and a flutter of mascara for the honouree post.Taking to Instagram to mark the occasion, Danniella explained to fans she'd been working on herself at home for the past few weeks.Along with the sizzling snap, the ex-BBC star wrote: "Ok so this is what a few weeks of solitude and isolation working on yourself at home looks like."Today I woke up ready and willing to do life differently.

I’m London bound and life is good #beyourself."Danniella opted to turn comments off but friends and fans were supportive anyway- with the post racking up almost 1,000 likes on the digital platform.It was recently announced by Eastenders that Kim Medcalf would be returning to Albert Square to reprise the role of Sam Mitchell - a role that had elevated Danniella's fame in 1996 and again in 2016.

Kim stepped in to backfill the position between 2002 and 2005 and Danniella took over the reigns again in 2006.According to Danniella, she had not be informed about the recent recasting and has slammed the BBC for their conduct.Speaking to The Sun, she said: "I've been known as Sam Mitchell for 32 years.

But nobody at EastEnders contacted me to let me know they had recast Kim in the role. There wasn’t even an email to my agent.
