Alex Jones has paid tribute to Bill Turnbull on the latest episode of The One Show, following the news of the late BBC presenter’s death.
Bill, who appeared on BBC Breakfast from 2001 to 2016, passed away peacefully at his home in Suffolk on Wednesday (August 31), aged 66, from prostate cancer.
He was diagnosed with the disease in 2017, and decided to go public with his diagnosis and subsequent battle a year later. Alex paid tribute to her former co-host, describing him as "kind" and "generous" during Thursday's (September 1) episode of the show, after his family had broken the news that Bill had died on Wednesday at home.
