Monklands’ librarians are running activities online for residents of all ages while doors remain closed during the coronavirus lockdown.Coatbridge library staff member Lauren McIntyre is inviting readers to expand their literary horizons in this year’s North Lanarkshire summer reading challenge; while the popular New Tricks group at Airdrie library, run by staff members Judy McGuire and Drew Feeney, will be taking place online from May 19.Getting underway this week, this year's reading challenge is entitled The Great Bookish Menu and invites readers to tackle six books from different theme areas, ranging from Scottish crime fiction to previously-banned books, between now and September 4.Click here for more news from the Airdrie and
