drug cartel hitmen launched a daring raid on a police station in an attempt to free fellow cartel members. On Saturday afternoon (March 26) four vehicles packed with cartel thugs parked up at the State Police's offices in San Fernando, Tamaulipas, Mexico.
Shocking footage shared on social media showed the hitmen leaving their cars carrying guns and making their way into the police station.
According to Borderland Beat, the police were heavily outnumbered and consequently forced to release the cartel members who were locked inside a patrol car.
It isn't yet clear whether the cartel were freeing members of their own organisation or rivals in order to enact their own form of justice, reports Excelsior.
