Young man dies after being hit by ‘number of vehicles’ on busy Scots motorway as accident probe launched

dailyrecord.co.ukM74 near Bothwell Services. Emergency services were called to the scene between Junction 4 and 5 at around 6.35pm on Monday after the alarm was raised.
The male pedestrian had just crossed the northbound carriageway and was attempting to walk across the southbound road when he was hit multiple times.
He was tragically pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.Police closed the road causing traffic to quickly build up as some drivers reported being stuck in queues for around three hours.
