Dovestone Reservoir. Teams from Oldham Mountain Rescue were called to help the woman, who had fallen whilst walking near Wimberry Boulders on Monday (August 24).
The rocky cliff face is situated a few miles from the Oldham beauty spot, and looks down on to the reservoir. A passer-by was able to help guide rescue teams to her location, after issues with the local telephone masts caused confusion about the woman's whereabouts.The woman was assessed by medics, and carried down by stretcher with the help of 19 mountain rescue volunteers.She was then passed on to paramedics from North West Ambulance Service and taken to hospital for further assessment.The extent of her injuries have not been confirmed.In a post on Facebook, the rescue service.
