dog owner was viciously bitten while trying to defend her pup from an aggressive Akita last week. Lesley Kane is currently receiving antibiotics for an infection in the bite she received in the terrifying daylight attack in Ratoath, County Meath, last Wednesday.Thankfully her two-year old Border Collie rescue dog Colt was uninjured, but he remains shaken after the incident.Lesley and husband Paul were walking Colt to the local village vet to get his shots when they spotted the Akita, which had escaped its owner.
