A woman has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after leaving the road at a busy roundabout before hitting a road sign.
Greater Manchester Police says its officers arrested the 62-year-old in Horwich, Bolton, this morning (August 25). Security guards from Middlebrook Retail Park first contacted the force about the driver.
GMP says the driver mounted the pavement at the Beehive roundabout, where De Havilland Way meets Chorley New Road. After leaving the road, the driver hit and damaged a road sign on the roundabout, GMP says.
A spokesperson for GMP Bolton wrote on Facebook: "Officers from the Horwich neighbourhood team have today arrested a 62-year-old female on suspicion of drink driving.
