The four-year-old and 10-year-old were passengers in a white Vauxhall Astra which collided with a Scania lorry between junctions 14 and 15 of the motorway, near Milton Keynes, on Monday night (August 9).
The driver of the car, along with another child passenger, were taken to hospital with injuries following the incident, which occurred at around 11.10pm.
They were later discharged. The HGV driver was uninjured. Thames Valley Police said a 35-year-old woman, from Derby, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving a motor
