Former New York Red Bulls manager and US men's national team international Chris Armas is being lined up to join Ralf Rangnick's backroom staff at Manchester United.
The German got off to a winning start with the Reds after Fred's goal against Crystal Palace. The Manchester Evening News understands United are interested in hiring the 49-year-old Armas as Rangnick looks to bolster his coaching options.
It looks set to rekindle a relationship that was formed previously at the Red Bull franchise that sees Leipzig, Salzburg, New York and Bragantino under its footballing umbrella.
