Nicola Sturgeon announced on Tuesday that parts of the country are to move into the highest tier of lockdown restrictions, in a bid to curtail the spread of Covid-19.
Glasgow, Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire, East Dunbartonshire, West Dunbartonshire, North Lanarkshire South Lanarkshire, East Ayrshire, South Ayrshire, Stirling and West Lothian will all be moved up from Level 3 into Level 4 from Friday 20 November.In these areas, virtually all high street trading will cease until at least 11 December, while cafes and restaurants that were previously allowed to stay open will have to close their doors.Travel between council areas, except in exceptional circumstances, meanwhile, will be banned from Friday.
