Let the great British fashion rescue begin. This morning, the British Fashion Council announced the first round of recipients of grants from its BFC Foundation Fashion Fund for the Covid Crisis.

An initial £1 million in funding will be distributed to 37 designers and brands. The grantees - a mix of rising stars (Bethany Williams, Art School, Matty Bovan) and London Fashion Week linchpins (Roksanda), along with jewellery brands (Alighieri) and denim specialists (E.L.V.
