The format for the new-look West Of Scotland League was finalised this evening after bosses staved off a potential revolt from a number of junior clubs.
revealed on Saturday how a number of clubs reacted furiously to a “moving of the goalposts” after all 63 west region sides made the switch to the new league.
Having agreed to all enter the SPFL pyramid at tier six across a series of four conferences they were shocked to discover the SFA had demanded the current Premiership would form the basis of a 20-team top flight at tier six and feeding into the Lowland League with the remaining clubs contesting three evenly-split conferences a level below.
