Burnley ace Ashley Westwood suffered a serious looking injury following a tackle from the West Ham man.The two sides met in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon though Westwood needed urgent treatment and was stretchered off following a challenge from Vlasic.The game was paused for over five minutes as Westwood received treatment from the Burnley medical staff with Josh Brownhill replacing him.
Westwood reportedly smiled as he was carried off the pitch to applause from both sets of fans.Former Liverpool and Republic of Ireland midfielder Ray Houghton said: "Sometimes the most innocuous challenges can turn out to be the biggest injuries. "If I was the managers, I'd be getting the players away from Westwood; let the medical teams deal with it.
