That is because there is a checklist of items prohibited from hand luggage, and you will not be able to take them onboard your flight, or through security, The Mirror writes.Non-foldable umbrellas, scissors, lighter fuel and toy guns are just some examples, with a full list being put together below.Liquids over 100ml can be confiscated too, as there are restrictions for security.
You can take liquids under 100ml but these must be in a re-sealable plastic bag that can be no larger than 20cm x 20cm and cannot exceed one litre.
