Piers Morgan went on the social media platform today, to welcome Louis O'Brien to the team after the latter shared a tweet that said he was leaving the Beeb to work with the 56-year-old broadcaster.

Louis, who worked as a producer at BBC's The Papers, posted a photo of himself in front of Broadcasting House as he bid farewell to his job."Today marks the end of my BBC journey.

From tomorrow I will be joining @NewsUK to work as a Producer on @piersmorgan new international show on #TalkTV," he wrote."Thank you and best of luck to everyone at the BBC News Channel."Clearly excited to have Louis on board, Piers responded to the tweet, writing: "Welcome, Louis!"Looking forward to working with you on my new global show."In September, it was announced that Piers would be joining News UK's TV channel to front his own primetime show after he signed a reported £50million deal for three years with the corporation.The considerable sum of money is believed to have made Piers the highest-paid journalist in the country.The programme will air in the UK, Australia and the United States and is expected to air in "early 2022".The gig marks Piers' first major presenting job since leaving ITV's GMB in March 2021.The father-of-four had engaged in a heated debate with fellow presenter Alex Beresford over Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's infamous interview with former US talk show host Oprah Winfrey.And while viewers of GMB remained hopeful that Piers would return to his presenting duties on the morning show, Susanna Reid later confirmed that the possibility of that happening was out of the question.In September's interview with author Celia, Susanna said: "He's not coming back.""We used to say Piers was like a toddler.
