Ted Hankey's 'devil' outburst isn't the only darts clip that has gone viral over the years - just ask Wayne Mardle. Mardle, better known as Hawaii 501 during his playing days, was - and still is - one of the sport's true characters.Famed for his energetic walk-on and cheeky grin, the Dagenham-born darter won legions of fans up and down the country after making the semi-finals of the PDC World Championship on five occasions the mid-2000s.

Always the bridesmaid and never the bride, sadly Mardle never made it past the last four at the worlds. Like all top sportsmen and women, Hawaii 501 wasn't much a fan of losing, and while on most occasions he handled defeat with grace and decorum, on one occasion in 2005, he let rip off camera - or so he thought.

Unbeknownst to Mardle, the Dutch TV cameras were recording every second of his chat with the show's confused presenter after his defeat to Co Stompe at the Masters of Darts. Not realising he was live, the 2003 World Matchplay runner-up launched into an expletive-laden tirade that has gone down in darts folklore.

Asked how he felt after the defeat, Mardle replied: "I'm pissed off. I lost. F*** sake, I don't like losing."I don't like losing.
