Join thousands of others who have signed up for the Daily Record newsletter.Police have issued a warning to Wishaw residents after reports of a rise in bogus workers targeting households.Officers took to social media after reports emerged of crooks trying to con local residents.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Reports have been received of bogus workers targeting vulnerable households by offering to carry out gutter/roof cleaning and repairs in the Wishaw and Motherwell areas.“Please remain vigilant and look out for family, friends and neighbours.“Our officers will be out and about across your communities this week targeting bogus workers/tradespeople.“Stay alert and report any suspicious activity via 101.”.
