Love Island has received an "overwhelming" number of applications from singletons desperate for romance after lockdown, host Laura Whitmore has confirmed.
The hit ITV2 show was cancelled this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, but plans are already in the works for it to return next year.
While no details have yet been revealed, it's thought it could be a longer series with more contestants. Appearing on Lorraine today, Laura spoke about the next series and revealed that they had received even more applications than ever.
Speaking to host Christine Lampard, who has been covering for Lorraine Kelly over the last few weeks, Laura confirmed that Love Island would be returning.
