Scottish Tory leader Douglas Ross has apologised for snubbing a VJ Day service in his region so he could take a paid shift as linesman at a football match.
The MP said he "got this wrong" after the Sunday Mail revealed he was running the line as assistant referee 200 miles from his Moray patch.
The Tories insisted he will carry on with his part-time job - but "will avoid future clashes like this", our sister paper the Daily Record reported.
