Virgil van Dijk has made his name as one of the best defenders in the world since joining Liverpool from Southampton back in 2018, no doubt attracting interest from a string of other European giants.
Although eyebrows were raised by his £75m price tag on arrival, the 28-year-old has gone from strength to strength under Jurgen Klopp, and was named the UEFA Men's Player of the Year Award for the 2018/19 season.
Having subsequently missed out to only Lionel Messi in the Ballon d’Or rankings, the Netherlands skipper has led his side to the brink of their first league title in 30 years, and he has no intentions of going elsewhere.
