But it'll seem drier and warmer, up to 18C on Wednesday. Mercury on Tuesday is expected to reach 23C in the south and east of England, with most seeing 18-20C across England and Wales, say the Met Office.
But the night will be chilly before the hottest day of the week - and possibly beating a March record - on Wednesday.London could bask in 24C heat, as well as Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire.
