Brits are set for a warm but wet weekend, with thunderstorms brewing across the UK. The Met Office is predicting a high of 24C in Peterborough on Saturday, but downpours are expected elsewhere thanks to low pressure in the south.
The weekend is forecast to get off to a grey start, with outbreaks of rain in the north. The east coast, meanwhile, will be cloudy and cool.
Although the rest of the country will see some patches of sunshine, it's likely there will be showers which could turn heavy and thundery.
The day will feel muggy and humid, with the mercury reaching 22C in London, 23C in Manchester and 16C in Glasgow. The Environment Agency also says floods are likely. Sign up for a daily email to help you get through family life in lockdown
