The UK's coronavirus hospital death count has increased by 411 today. There have been 317 new deaths in England, 45 in Scotland, 34 in Wales and 15 in Northern Ireland.
This is the biggest single-day increase in fatalities in the UK on a Thursday since May 7 when 464 deaths were announced. It comes after King's College data showed that the 'R' rate in the UK appears to now be below 1, although deaths are still surge in the coronavirus second wave.
The latest King's College analysis suggests the transmission rate of the virus has dropped across all four nations - but risen in England's Midlands.
One source of data has uncovered the declining 'R' rate, putting it at 0.9 across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland this week.
