Tyson Fury has demanded that the BBC to remove him from the shortlist for this year’s Sports Personality of the Year award. The 32-year-old boxing champ was among the likes of Lewis Hamilton, Ronnie O’Sullivan and Hollie Doyle to be nominated for the annual award.
But the self-styled Gypsy King says he does not need the ‘verification’ of the award as he is 'already the people’s champion'.
He has asked fans not to vote for him during a social media clip posted earlier today. “This is a message for the BBC and their SPOTY award”, he said.“Please take me off your list as I am the people’s champion and I have no need for verification for any other awards.“I know who I am and what I have done in sport.
