Tyson Fury has confirmed he will once again face Oleksandr Usyk in the ring after being defeated in their undisputed match. Fury, who suffered his first-ever professional defeat at the hands of Usyk, was outscored last weekend in Saudi Arabia.
Frank Warren, Fury's promoter, has now verified that a rematch is set for October this year, despite Fury's initial reluctance to commit to the terms of the agreement right after his loss.
Usyk secured Fury's WBC title in addition to his own WBA, WBO and IBF titles with a split decision victory, a win which recognises him as the first undisputed champ of the division in nearly 25 years.
This thrilling showdown marked the first professional loss for Fury, but an immediate rematch clause in their contract assures another fight later this year.
