Tyson Fury has received a one-week medical ban from boxing following his defeat to Oleksandr Usyk last weekend. Fury was outclassed in Saudi Arabia, losing the undisputed heavyweight world title fight on points.
The governing body overseeing the bout, the UAE Boxing Commission, has imposed a laughable suspension on Fury until this weekend, while Usyk's suspension lasts until June 2.
The bitter bout left both fighters battered, with Usyk sustaining a cut above his right eye that required four stitches and was subsequently taken to the hospital for checks.
Though there were initial concerns over a broken jaw, these fears proved unfounded.Fury is eager for a rematch with Usyk scheduled in their contract to take place back in Riyadh in October.
