A huge emergency services presence was sparked and a police cordon was in place after the stabbing last night (Wednesday). A 17-year-old boy was taken to hospital from the city centre station after the attack.

He remains in a stable condition. Police have now confirmed in an update that two teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault.

The 16-year-old boy and 19-year-old male remain in custody where they are being quizzed by detectives. The force said the stabbing was an 'isolated incident' and 'there is no threat to the wider community'.
