Manchester United are expected to release academy graduates Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and Demetri Mitchell in the summer. Borthwick-Jackson, 23, has not played for the club since he signed a four-year contract in May 2016 and endured a slew of disastrous loans at Wolves, Leeds United, Scunthorpe United, and Tranmere Rovers.
His season-long spell with Tranmere was cut short in January and Borthwick-Jackson is currently with Oldham Athletic in League Two until the end of the season.
United have the option of an additional year on Borthwick-Jackson's deal but are set to let him leave on a free. United did likewise with Antonio Valencia and James Wilson last year.
