The Beatles are officially going under the hammer courtesy of Bonhams auction house.The setlists, among only eight believed to still be in existence, are from gigs the band played in 1960 and 1963 respectively.
The former was written by Paul McCartney, and is from when the band played at Liscard’s Grosvenor Ballroom shortly before changing their name from The Silver Beetles to simply The Beatles.
McCartney was the band’s drummer at the time.The latter, meanwhile, comes from the first of two sets the band played at the Majestic Ballroom in Luton.
It is also written by McCartney, although it is written all in capital letters as opposed to the 1960’s setlist, penned in cursive.
