He eventually got given his marching orders in November and Jose Mourinho was ushered in. Inzaghi has impressed during his four-year tenure at Lazio and Italian agent Vincenzo Morabito has suggested Daniel Levy’s preferred option to replace Pochettino was the 44-year-old former striker. “There was a desperate attempt by Tottenham before taking Mourinho,” he told Italian radio.
