Tottenham have been awarded a bye into the fourth round of the Carabao Cup after their third-round tie against Leyton Orient was called off following a number of positive Covid-19 tests at Brisbane Road.
The game was due to go ahead on Tuesday but was postponed at the last minute after a number of Orient players and staff tested positive for the virus.
Their Breyer Group Stadium and training ground has been closed until further notice, with this weekend's League Two game against Walsall also postponed.
And a statement released by the EFL on Friday read: "In accordance with Carabao Cup rules, Tottenham Hotspur have been awarded with a bye to progress to Round Four of the Carabao Cup and will now play Chelsea on Tuesday 29 September. "The
