Tottenham have reportedly failed in a bid to try to convince Brendan Rodgers to leave Leicester City and become their new manager.
Spurs are on the hunt for Jose Mourinho's successor after he was sacked last week following a disappointing campaign in North London.
And although Ryan Mason has stepped in on a temporary basis, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is keen to appoint another big name to lead the team forward going into next season.
Rodgers has massively impressed since taking charge of the Foxes in 2019, and looks set to lead them to Champions League qualification, with his side currently sitting in third place in the table.
