Tom Hanks urges fans to stay strong as he shares health update after coronavirus diagnosis

Tom Hanks has urged fans to ‘take care’ of each other, after himself and wife Rita Wilson were diagnosed with coronavirus. The Cast Away actor and Jingle All The Way star, both 63, announced they had tested positive for the condition on social media.

And, taking to Instagram, he revealed he wasn’t letting the diagnosis get him down – in the most Tom Hanks way possible. Alongside a smiling snap of them both, he said: ‘Hello folks. @ritawilson and I want to thank everyone here Down Under who are taking such good care of us.  ‘We have Covid-19 and are in isolation so we do not spread it to anyone else.
