Timo Werner was already one of the most sought after players in Europe, but his hat-trick in RB Leipzig’s 5-0 victory over Mainz 05 last weekend has only raised his profile in England.
The 24-year-old brought his tally to 24 Bundesliga goals in 27 games this season, and triggered a fresh round of transfer rumours regarding a possible departure this summer.
Werner has a €60million release clause and is reportedly wanted by Liverpool and Chelsea, although it is possible Manchester United would also be interested at that cut price.
In fact Owen Hargreaves reckoned that Werner should choose United as he'd be more certain of match time than if he moved to Merseyside.
