dailyrecord.co.ukSouth Ayrshire are set to receive a cash boost ahead of Christmas.With the festive season approaching, a pledge of financial support will see £320 help households through hardship as part of the Scottish Government's mission to tackle child poverty.The funds are set to assist 3,023 families in South Ayrshire and will take the total of payments made to families up to £520 this year.
Families in East Ayrshire and North Ayrshire will also benefit.It comes after we told how families in a South Ayrshire town were struggling to feed themselves as a new food container was launched.Community volunteers in Troon told how some households had the choice between paying their bills or feeding their children.
