This Morning host Holly Willoughby has become pals with “Iceman” Wim Hof for one good reason – he can cure her hangovers. The extreme athlete, 62, is the star of her new show Freeze The Fear pushing celebrities to the limit with ice cold mind-and-body challenges.
But tequila-loving Holly has become a huge fan of the Dutchman for another very good reason. He claims his deep breathing exercises can cure hangovers which appeals to the presenter who loves a tipple.Wim actually appeared on ITV’s This Morning two years ago and claimed he can make boozy headaches go away after 20 minutes.Holly giggled: “We are all ears here.”He said: “It is all about intoxication and taking away the toxins out of the body – give your hangover a hangover.”Now the pair are being reunited when she hosts BBC One’s Freeze The Fear with Lee Mack starting next Tuesday, April 12.Wim says his techniques will help the celebrities including Alfie Boe, Dianne Buswell and Professor Green both mentally and physically. And he teased that folk who had taken part in his ice retreats in the past had got frisky because his ice baths help their sex lives.Wim laughed: “Naughty things have happened, because people become really free.
They go to the extremes.” The trailer has already been released ahead of the launch of the BBC show, with Holly fronting the show with comedian Lee Mack.
She is seen in the trailer alongside eight celebrity participants who were given numerous extreme challenges in freezing cold temperatures over in Northern Italy, where it was filmed.
