FORMER Emmerdale star Trudie Goodman is the surprising mum of a Grammy award winning pop star. Trudie, 69, played Georgie Sharman on the ITV soap for four years until 2015 and is perhaps known for her role of WPC Jane Ackland which she played on The Bill for 24 years.
The actress has two children with husband Kit Jackson, one of which is 33-year-old Elly Jackson, lead singer of pop dup Le Roux.
Elly - who identifies as non-binary but uses she/her pronouns -rose to fame with hits Bulletproof and In For The Kill. She formed the band with record producer Ben Langmaid and they released their debut album, La Roux, in 2009 for which they won the Grammy for Best Electronic/Dance Album.
