OPI’s Put It In Neutral (£13.90) as the optimal nude – it ticks all of the above boxes without being insipid. It sells out fast, though.
Chanel’s Ballerina is pretty, and people love Essie’s Sugar Daddy (£7.99), although I find it a bit too sheer – you may want three layers for good coverage, plus base coat (an essential with ridged nails) and top coat.
I haven’t found a better one than Autograph’s Flash Gel. It’s not really a gel as you can wipe it off at home with some ordinary remover.
It’s impressively shiny and lasts several days.If you’re open to salon gels, then OPI’s Baby, Take a Vow is gorgeous – very similar to Put It In Neutral.
