Indie music publication Stereogum announced on Monday (June 29) an upcoming compilation of 44 artists covering songs from the first decade of the 2000s, as part of a fundraising effort to help the site weather ad revenue downturns in the wake of the COVID-19 downturn.
The full tracklist for the compilation, entitled Save Stereogum, has yet to be revealed, but Stereogum -- which was previously owned by the Billboard-The Hollywood Reporter media group, before founder Scott Lapatine bought the site's independence back this January -- did divulge a majority of the site-approved artists who will be providing the '00s covers.
