Wanderers made it 11 games unbeaten yesterday at Vale Park thanks to Gethin Jones' goal in the second half. It ensured Wanderers cemented their place in the League Two play-offs and and four points from the automatic promotion places, as well as five from the division's summit.
Wanderers boss Evatt hailed the win as the best of the season in his view. This was down to the quality of the pitch at Vale Park, the weather conditions which included rain and hail at times, and a Vale side which made the game 'scrappy'.As part of the unbeaten run, Evatt's side have often showed free flowing football with many impressive attacking performances and all round ones which has helped ensure Wanderers have crept up the table.
