Another beautiful super moon will rise above the UK this week - the fourth and final full super moon of 2020. Known as the super flower moon, the astronomical display will appear in our skies on Thursday May 7.
The moon will appear much bigger and brighter than usual as it orbits closer to Earth, which is known as its perigee. Unfortunately for us, the full moon will peak at around 11.45am British Summer Time, when the moon is below the horizon as seen from the UK.
Moon rise in Manchester will happen at around 9pm on Thursday, with 99.6% illumination from the sun. The super moon will then set at 6.10am the following morning.
