The last 12 months have been a 'living hell' for Yousef Makki's family, his distraught sister said on the anniversary of his death.

The 17-year-old, from Burnage, was stabbed in the heart in Hale Barns on March 2 last year. His sister Jade Akoum and brother-in-law Mazen Akoum held a press conference today - one year on from the tragedy.

It was held just days after teenager Joshua Molnar, who stabbed Manchester Grammar School pupil Yousef to death, was released from custody.

Yousef's mum Debbie was too upset to attend the press conference. The early release and the anniversary of Yousef's death had 'knocked her', Jade said.
