telegraph.co.uk16 Jul 2020 While Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's planned May wedding was postponed, on July 7 another royal wedding did take place in the UK - that of Princess Raiyah bint Al Hussein and British journalist Ned Donovan, grandson of Roald Dahl.The couple, who were engaged in November 2019, had a small, socially distanced outdoor ceremony, with just a few guests present, including the bride's mother, Queen Noor.
While the ceremony might have been pared back, the bride's jewellery was anything but: she wore a diamond headpiece with a central sapphire that is believed to have been fashioned from her mother's brooch.Princess Raiyah wore her headpiece across her forehead, flapper-style.
