The Chase player has received a bashing from quizzer Paul Sinha after she insulted his fellow chaser Mark Labbett, branding him "slow".Primary School Mhairi teacher from Newcastle was first to face the chaser as host Bradley Walsh welcomed four new contestant to the ITV game show. When asked which chaser she’d like to face during her head-to-head after bagging £6k in her Q&A, Mhairi revealed she’d like to face off with Mark Labbett as he was “slow at answering questions.”She revealed that while she thought he was “lovely” she believed she could beat him due to his inability to answer questions in a timely manner.Moments later, chaser Paul Sinha emerged as the chaser for the episode and immediately bashed the teacher for her unkind words. After complimenting her “clearly good general knowledge,” he dissed her judge of character and defended his quizmaster pal.

He said: “As for a judge of character if you think Mark is a) slow and b) lovely then you clearly think that I’m a slim heterosexual white man.”Fans immediately took to social media to react: One blasted: “Mark slow err, I think not! #thechase.”“Oof Paul didn’t like that diss did he he told her ahahaha #thechase.”Viewers were left cringing recently after a contestant made a savage dig at chaser Shaun Wallace just minutes before he was revealed as the chaser.Contestant Kieron, a 33-year-old duty manager from Newcastle, was the first contestant up to the podium before host Bradley Walsh prepared to announce the chaser for the episode. When asked which chaser he would like to face, Kieron blasted: “I’d like to face Shaun because he’s statistically the worst player.”After a round of awkward laughs from the rest on the players, Bradley then left Kieron and the entire set.
