The Chase star Shaun Wallace has ruled out doing any more reality TV – because he fears becoming a laughing stock in the courtroom.When he’s not being the Dark Destroyer on the hit quiz show Shaun is a practising barrister.He says: “I do get the offers but I’m not a reality type of guy.READ MORE: The Chase fans floored as 'Kate Moss' and 'Naomi Campbell' appear on ITV quiz show“I still practise as a barrister and there is a limit to what I will do.“The last reality-type challenge I did was Don’t Rock The Boat, and that was a physical challenge where myself and seven other celebs rowed the length of Britain.“I’ll do something like that but any other type of reality show is not really for me.“If Celebrity SAS asked me five years ago I probably would have done it but not with my knees now.”Balancing the two worlds means he is often recognised, even under his legal wig.Shaun, 62, who received an Honorary Doctorate of Laws from London Met University in 2015, says: “One thing I don’t do is take for granted being on The Chase but I’m a barrister first and foremost.“Yes, people recognise who I am – I can’t help that fact – but I can’t use my fame to get a required result.
I can’t change the evidence.“I’ve been a barrister for 38 years, a Chaser for 13 years.”After Beat The Chasers – a spin-off where contestants take on all five Chasers – won a National TV Award last week, Shaun is confident the show’s strong brand will continue.He adds: “When we star-ted we hoped we’d get a second series but to go into 13 years and counting is fantastic.“That’s a tribute to us as Chasers.
