Gabriel was the first player to step up to the plate, earning £2,000 on the cash builder round before facing The Governess. Getting a number of questions wrong, Gabriel was sent home – though Anne felt he had more potential than expected.
Speaking to host Bradley Walsh, she said: "I think he’s just been very unlucky. "Looking at that team he might have actually been the strongest player I’m not sure." The three remaining contestants, Cat, Alex and Gill looked visibly shocked by the jibe, as they were left unable to respond.
