A 100-year-old woman, a disabled man and their neighbours are fighting the council over plans for new double yellow lines outside their homes in Swinton.Residents in Folly Lane say the move means the parking spaces in front of their homes will be taken away and the nearest available alternatives will fill up fast.With parking problems probable, the homeowners fear house prices will fall – and those with mobility issues may be forced out their homes altogether.The plans for double yellow lines are part of a multi-million pound cycling and walking scheme to upgrade the Swinton Greenway which was given the go ahead for funding by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority on Friday.The new 'no waiting at any time' restrictions would be put in.
