Tennis club with 128-year history plans to install floodlights at Bury courts

A 128-year-old tennis club has lodged plans to install floodlights at its premises to make year round play possible. Walmer Tennis Club, which is between Chesham Primary School and Clarence Park Lido at the junction of Talbot Grove and Mosley Avenue, plan to install six floodlight columns to illuminate courts.

The tennis club said in its application: “We are a private members tennis club with four tarmac tennis courts.
