A taxpayer-funded photoshoot of Boris Johnson's dog playing in the snow is 'documenting government work', Number 10 has insisted.
The Prime Minister's official spokesman was asked about pictures released by No10 of his dog, Dilyn - which were taken by a government photographer.
The spokesman said it was a good use of taxpayers' money, because the PM's team of vanity photographers were a "government resource" and "document the work of the Government as well as the work inside No10." It comes after the Mirror revealed Mr Johnson now has three vanity photographers on the government payroll, all paid for from the public purse.
